Dermal Fillers in Thrissur
Restore facial volume, soften selected folds and refine facial proportions with carefully planned hyaluronic acid fillers at Nuance Aesthetics. Our approach prioritises natural-looking change—not an overfilled appearance.
Volume and contour
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable gels used to restore volume, support facial contours and soften selected lines. Hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance naturally present in the body, is commonly used because results can be adjusted and the product can usually be dissolved with hyaluronidase when medically necessary.
Fillers do not work like Botox. Botox reduces selected muscle activity; fillers provide physical volume or structural support. The right option depends on whether your concern is movement-related lines, volume loss, skin quality or facial proportion.

Areas that may be treated
Product choice, depth, technique and quantity vary by anatomy. Not every area—or every patient—is suitable for filler.
Lip fillers
Improve hydration, border definition, symmetry or volume while respecting your natural lip proportions.
Often 6–12 months*Cheek fillers
Restore selected mid-face volume and support cheek contour affected by ageing or natural anatomy.
Often 12–18 months*Under-eye assessment
Selected tear-trough hollows may benefit, but pigmentation, bags and fluid retention need different care.
Suitability is essentialJawline fillers
Refine jaw contour or improve selected asymmetry after assessment of bone, fat and skin laxity.
Often 12–18 months*Chin fillers
Improve chin projection and profile balance without surgery in carefully selected patients.
Often 12–18 months*Nasolabial folds
Soften deeper smile lines; sometimes restoring cheek support is preferable to injecting the fold directly.
Often 9–12 months*Temple volume loss
Restore selected temple hollowing using a cautious, anatomy-led plan because this is a complex region.
Advanced treatment areaNon-surgical nose contour
Camouflage selected profile irregularities. It cannot make a large nose smaller and carries higher vascular risk.
High-risk treatment area*Typical duration is an estimate, not a guarantee. Longevity varies by product, dose, anatomy, treatment area, metabolism and lifestyle.

Safety before aesthetics
Why injector expertise matters
Fillers are medical procedures. Facial blood vessels vary, and accidental vascular injection can cause skin injury and, rarely, visual loss. The nose, glabella and under-eye region need particular caution.
- Medical history and previous filler assessment
- Sterile skin preparation and traceable product
- Anatomy-led dose and injection plane
- Emergency recognition and complication protocol
- Access to hyaluronidase for HA filler reversal
- Clear aftercare and follow-up instructions
Is filler right for you?
Suitability and aftercare
Filler may be postponed or avoided during pregnancy or breastfeeding, active skin infection, uncontrolled medical illness, active cold sores near the area, or when expectations cannot be met safely. Autoimmune conditions, bleeding disorders, allergies, medicines and prior permanent fillers must be disclosed.
After treatment
- Do not press or massage the area unless instructed
- Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol and excessive heat for about 24–48 hours
- Use a clean cold compress for short intervals if advised
- Swelling is common, especially after lip treatment
- Follow the clinic’s emergency and review instructions
Know the difference
Fillers vs thread lift
Dermal fillers
- Restore volume or improve contour
- Immediate visible change
- HA products are usually reversible
- Best suited to selected hollows, folds and proportions
Thread lift
- Aims to mechanically reposition selected tissue
- Does not replace lost volume in the same way
- Threads gradually dissolve
- Suitability depends on skin laxity and facial anatomy
Frequently asked questions
Dermal filler FAQs
How long do dermal fillers last?
Many HA fillers last around 6–18 months. Lip filler may wear off sooner than cheek or chin filler. Product, treatment area, dose and metabolism all influence longevity.
Are filler results immediate?
Volume change is visible immediately, but swelling and bruising can temporarily affect the appearance. The result is better judged after around 1–2 weeks, depending on the area.
Can HA filler be dissolved?
Usually, yes. Hyaluronic acid filler can be broken down using hyaluronidase. Dissolving is a medical procedure with its own risks and should only follow clinical assessment.
Will lip filler look natural?
A conservative dose selected for your anatomy can produce a subtle result. Lip shape, movement and facial proportions should guide treatment rather than a fixed “one-size” volume.
Can fillers remove dark circles?
Only hollowness-related shadowing may improve with tear-trough treatment. Pigmentation, visible vessels, eye bags and allergies need different management, and some under-eye anatomy is unsuitable for filler.
What are common side effects?
Temporary tenderness, redness, swelling, bruising, asymmetry and small lumps can occur. Infection, delayed nodules and vascular occlusion are less common but important complications.
