Pigmented

Structural
Hollowness, tear troughs, eye bags or loose skin can cast shadows that look darker in certain lighting.

Medical skincare

Superficial, eye-area-appropriate peels may be considered for selected pigment-related circles. Strength and contact time are chosen cautiously for the delicate area.
Laser-based treatment
Selected pigment or skin-quality concerns may respond to an appropriate laser protocol. Not every patient is a candidate, especially near the eye.
PRP or regenerative therapy
May be considered to support under-eye skin quality in suitable patients. Results vary and usually develop gradually over a planned series.
Skin boosters
Selected injectable treatments may improve hydration and fine skin texture. Product choice and injection plane are particularly important around the eyes.
Tear-trough filler assessment
For suitable structural hollowness, carefully selected hyaluronic-acid filler may reduce shadowing. It is not appropriate for every anatomy and requires medical assessment.

Not always. Improvement depends on the cause, genetics, anatomy and lifestyle factors. Maintenance skincare or repeat treatment may be required, and complete removal cannot be guaranteed.
There is no single best treatment. Pigment may need topical care or selected peels/lasers, while structural shadowing may require a different approach. Mixed dark circles often need combination care.
Better sleep may reduce a tired appearance, but inherited pigmentation, visible vessels, hollowness or skin laxity will not necessarily resolve with sleep alone.
They can be appropriate for selected patients when performed with eye-area-specific precautions. Because the skin is delicate and pigment changes can occur, medical assessment and correct settings are essential.
